Biography

Overview

A small-town kid living in the big city, I was born in the cornfields of Illinois then moved to Ohio and, finally, Texas. Fort Worth has been home for a couple of decades. My rural roots gave me a strong work ethic. But I love the energy and connectivity of the urban environment.

Hobbies and pastimes

My interests are wide and varied. I'm a huge sports fan—especially when it comes to the TCU Horned Frogs. I can also build furniture and tinker with computers. Music is important to me, too: I've been a season subscriber to the Fort Worth Symphony for several years.

Travel

Through travel, I've learned about culture, language and diversity. So far, I've been to 40 states and 13 countries. My favorite cities are Chicago and Paris, and the best food I've ever had was in Beirut, Lebanon.
